Java 25 delivered a simplified approach to building software with JEP-512, primarily aimed at making the language more accessible. Yet this also offers experienced engineers the opportunity for simplified scripting using the power of the JVM along with their knowledge and skills in the language.
In this talk we'll cover several examples where an engineer no longer has to use a scripting language, but builds scripts using Java 25 and beyond. We'll look at ease of use, performance and perform live coding to learn how fast and easy it is to start scripting with the language many only consider applicable for archaic enterprise systems.
